community members and police are coming together to find solutions to keep the peace in . milwaukee.this comes just days after ?chaos in the city?... following a ?deadly? officer- involved shooting. shooting.community members met with police and sheriff's deputies... at the "boys and girls club" in sherman park last night.they talked about ideas... to stop the violence. the end goal--- help young people find a job... further their education... and give them ?hope?--- something to look forward to. 3 the sherman park ?neighborhood association? says... he's ?not? happy with the choice to close sherman park ?early.?the park is now closed from six at night.... until six in the morning.teenagers who use the park... aren't happy either. for a lot of these kids sherman park is a safe haven for them.. they feel safer being in the park than they do at home. home. closing the park down aint' going to do anything but bring the kids back onto the streets, kids coming off the streets coming into the park

we're told damage is in the millions...although we haven't heard an ?exact? figure just yet. 3 3 ?new details? now about the officer-involved shooting .. that ?sparked? the unrest in mi. milwaukee.according to the waukesha county sheriff's office--- (saville) smith---- the man who was shot and killed... had a handgun that was stolen from a home in "genesse" in march. investigators say... the homeowner was ?on vacation? ... and came back to find his home had been ?broken into?... and his gun was gone. police are still investigating... how smith got the g. mayor "tom barrett" has asked for the officer's body camera to be released---- but the d-c-i tells us... they're ?not? ready to do that just yet. mayor barrett has seen a ?picture? from the video.he says.. it clearly shows smith had a gun in his hand... when the officer shot him saturday afternoon. the archdiocese of milwaukee is holding a ?prayer vigil? today... in response to the events over the weekend.it starts at 6:30 tonight at "all saints parish" on 25-th street near capitol.everyone is welcome. 3

legislation would make olympic medals and their prize money tax-free in wisconsin. new berlin republican- joe sanfelippo- plans to introduce the bill... and speaker- robin vos- is already lending his support and co-sponsoring the legislation.the lawmakers say its vital... since many of the athletes rely on donations and sponsorships to not only survive but reach their eltie athletic status. 1:14-1:26 rolling back these taxes is just a small way for us to be able to say hey, we you put in and we want to help celebrate your success, not penalize you for it. it. 3 congress is already considering a simliar measure at the federal level. the state tax exemption applies to olmpic medals that are valued up to 600 dollars... and cash prizes which can range from ten to 25 thousand. 3
